I am having problems enabling cURL in MoWeS.

I uncommented extension=php_curl.dll in the php.ini file.

I have created a curl.php with

<?php
var_dump(curl_version());
?>

It should display the curl version. Instead it gives an error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_version() in D:MoWeSwwwwebcurl.php on line 2

So curl in not enabled.

Anyone know how to solve this?

The browser should be ok because on the internet with the same browser in the help voor H:Title the switch is working and the dotted underlining is showed.

Is something wrong in the MoWes settings?

On that machine the MoWes spllsh screen comes up and will stay for about 30 minits. Then the screen with information that Apache and MySql is running comes up and then MediaWik works fine.
Shutting down MoWes takes also a lot of time.

I tried a new seperate installation on this PC in a folder on the harddisk. Installing runs fine but at the end of installation the start of MoWes is as slow as the working installation on the USB stick.

Rebooting the PC has no effect. Mowes will run eventually on that PC but it takes a lot of time to startup. What is wrong and wat could caused this? Because yesterday MoWes was running fine on that machine.

I just install Mowes Portable and i have a very long root document:C:/Users/Renee/AppData/Local/Temp/Rar$EX00.694/www

How can i change that root...I am new with Mowes.

I downloaded MoWeS and installed everyting OK except my phpbb3.

I also tried to add phpbb2 (full installation pack) and doesn't work either.

1.20 I receive the error "cannot load MySQL extension, please check PHP Configuration".
To connect to a MySQL server, PHP needs a set of MySQL functions called "MySQL extension". This extension may be part of the PHP distribution (compiled-in), otherwise it needs to be loaded dynamically. Its name is probably mysql.so or php_mysql.dll. phpMyAdmin tried to load the extension but failed.
Usually, the problem is solved by installing a software package called "PHP-MySQL" or something similar.

I make a search:
"Cannot load mysql extension"

and on the first I get a good answer by:
"http://ocaoimh.ie/cannot-load-mysql-ext … iguration/"

then I make changes in my php.ini:
in Line 944

to
"extension=ext/php_mysql.dll"

and with
http://localhost/phpmyadmin
I get the phpMyAdmin - without error

I tried with different packages and I switched off Antivir and Firewall during the install process, but no chance. What am I doing wrong ?
My OS is Windows Vista 32bit.

Question about Mowes: can I use this package with UAC turned on?
Do I have to pay attention to "some things" under Win7/64?

I do this directly in httpd.conf or is it possible to change such an "essential setting" in the mowes software itself, too? But where?

Sobald ich MoWeS starte, erscheint auch die Meldung

Apache läuft
MySQL läuft

und binnen 2 Sekunden heißt es dann

MySQL läuft nicht

Das Paket ist gerade erst installiert, ich habe weder Dateien modifiziert, noch irgend etwas anderes gestartet, ausschließlich MoWeS.

Wo liegt der Fehler? Ist er bekannt?

Hello together,

I've just downloaded II MoWeS Portable 2.2.3

Apache 2.2.11 SE
MySQL 5.1.35 SE
PHP 4.4.9

As soon as I start MoWeS also appears the message

Apache runs
MySQL runs

and within 2 seconds it is then

MySQL is not running

The package is just installed, I did not modify files, nor anything else launched except MoWeS.

What is wrong? Is it a known bug?

On a standard mediaWiki implementation this seems to be driven by Texvc, ImageMagick, Ghostscript, DVIPS, and Convert. Of these, I only see ImageMagick in the standard packages.

I got a standalone, fully installed copy of MediaWiki with math working on a Windows PC at one stage although it involved a modified math.php obtained from www.mediawiki.org, and possibly an implementation of MikTex (which I don't see in the Mowes package list either).

I'm not at all clear how I'd get all these packages working in a Mowes environemnt, or even whether I'd need to - maybe other products do the same job under Mowes.

So I thought I'd ask if anyone else has achievd this.
