I'm playing around with moving MediaWiki from PC to PC as I'd like to set it up on a central server, but then allow folks to download their own local copy. As most of the team are on the road, a simple copy and paste takes ages so I thought abourt doing a MySql export and then import of the MediaWiki database. This works fine - small file produced which could be emailed out and all the data is transferred and I was just patting myself on the back when I tried to launch a powerpoint file that had been uploaded to the MediaWiki database - it failed with a 'page not found' error. I checked the image table in My SQl admin - it contained the file, the URL was the same as on the working database on the other PC - but it wouldn't launch. Image files were OK, it was only files that were uploaded and referenced via a Medai: tag - eg doc, ppt, pdf - none of them launch.

Anyone come across this and know why?

Anyone have a better way of just syncing the Mediawiki data from PC A to PC B?

Thanks
