MOWeS is working but stopped functioning

Hi,
I run Wowes from my c drive (win xp) and develop my website within the www directory (in the beginning I had to chance the.htaccess so my ofline webbrowser was able to show .php, ssi files ect) . all was working fine and I could see my .php and ssi files great when I viewed my website offline in my browser. All of a sudden it stopped working and I did NOT change anything! All the pre-installed packages like Joomla are still working but not .php files or ssi files....
Could this has something to do with auto-updates from win xp?

I do not have access to internet connection so really rely on this great software!
PLease help....
