MoWeS Newsletter Issue III

There was a little bit of silence around MoWeS the last months. But this does not mean that there has nothing happend.
Here are the newest changes:

New MoWeS Mixer Server
====================
Since the increasing number of downloads, we had to move the MoWeS Mixer to a new server. This went all very smoothly thanks to the help of beforesunrise.de.
The guys are sponsoring us the new download server. Thanks!
Currently we experience still some troubles with zero byte files. But I hope to get that fixed very soon.

MoWeS Help
========
Thanks to the great help of Kevin Chilton (http://my.opera.com/kaycee) we have now a great MoWeS Help. Kevin even created an amazing flash install tutorial!

New MoWeS Portable Version 2.1.2
===============================
- Fixed bug with package warning when a package with a similar name was already installed.
- Improved some stuff that was not correctly working under Vista
- Added the new help links
- Fixed some wrong information in the readme and licence files.

Packages updated
================
Since some has gone by some packages needed updates. I have updated these four packages:
- Drupal 5.3
- PHPMyAdmin 2.11.2.2
- TYPO3 4.1.3
- Wordpress 2.3.1

Unfortunately the MediaWiki page was down. So I could not update the MediaWiki package.

I have moved the Xoops package from the MoWeS Premium section to the public section as well.

MoWeS Premium
===========
In the MoWeS Premium members area is a XT Commerce and a Typolight package ready to download.
Thanks to the sponsorship www.nexcelent.de I was able to create a MoWeS package with Perl. Yeah really.
You can download it in the MoWeS Premium area. Make sure you download as well the Apache 2 Perl because otherwise it will not work.

MoWeS Portable III
================
There was a lot of internal work an MoWeS Portable III during the last weeks. I have nearly managed to finish the paper with the specifications. I hope to publish it within this month.
