Topic: Used to work, now get white screen

After installation Mowes Portable and Drupal worked well. Then suddenly all I get is a white browser screen at http://localhost:8080/start (I changed the port). I tried with Firefox and IE but same result.
When going to http://localhost:8080/drupal/ I get a drupal window with a message saying: "the mysql error was: Unable to use the MySQL database because the MySQL extension for PHP is not installed. Check your <code>php.ini</code> to see how you can enable it."
I tried doing a whole new mowes installation, but with the same result. I've got the whole thing running from a folder on my desktop.... It worked, and now it doesn't. What's going on?
